Madison County Online Tag Renewal System Information
If you have any difficulty or questions regarding your tag renewal you may contact IMS Enterprises, Inc. at 256-246-0600 for telephone assistance or e-mail at support@imsenterprises.com.
Madison County is one of only several counties in the State of Alabama that offers this service. It's a convenient way to keep from standing in line at the courthouse and renew your tag at your home or business.
We accept MasterCard, Visa, Debit Cards, or an electronic check from your checking account. Your fee per tag for an electronic check is $3.50 for the first tag and $2.50 for each additional tag. Credit and debit transactions will be charged a 3% convenience fee with a minimum of $3.50 and $2.50 for each additional tag. The convenience fee is not paid to Madison County but to IMS Enterprises, Inc. an Alabama company.
Boat convenience fees are $2.00 per renewal.
The online tag renewal system will only renew the tags that are due for renewal during the current month.
If you have a credit voucher, DO NOT use the online renewal, it will void your voucher.
You must have your renewal notice in order to use the online renewal system. The renewal notice will be required so that you
have your "ONLINE PIN" to type in to the OnLine Pin field on the renewal form. Your OnLine Pin is case sensitive and must be entered in all capitals.
Please Note: If you have had an address change since your last renewal or any of the information for you vehicle is incorrect, please contact our office at 256-532-3310 before renewing. We need to update the address to insure that you will receive the renewal stickers. The address on the "Verify Tax Info" screen is the address to which we will mail your renewal stickers.
Upon completion of your renewal, you will receive a confirmation number and a printed receipt. Please record the confirmation number, print and retain the receipt until you receive your actual tag or sticker.
